Welcome to Summit Valley Equestrian! 

We are proud to offer hunter seat equitation riding lessons to both children and adults just outside the D.C. Metro area.  We believe that building a life long bond between pony and rider leads to increased self-confidence, athletic ability, and sense of responsibility. 

SVE students learn basic equitation, develop a safe and secure seat, and learn to navigate obstacles and fences while having fun.

Our adult riders learn more advanced riding theory as well as gaining valuable time in the saddle.

All riders are taught basic horsemanship skills including feed types and programs, hoof care, healthcare, and tack types and uses.  Basic training techniques are also taught including lungeing and ground work.
